With effect from 1st April 2017 points 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 on AfC Pay Band 1 and Pay Band 2 will be adjusted to 16,523 to reflect the incorporation of the living wage 8.45 per hour.


An exciting opportunity has arisen for the position of Lead Nurse within the Procurement Team at Hywel Dda Health Board. This post will provide Procurement Services with the clinical expertise and support required to standardise and rationalise the range of medical and surgical products currently used within the Health Board. Provide a visible, authoritative and effective leadership, liaison and interface between clinicians from a broad range of professional groups and Procurement services, promoting the procurement of appropriate clinically acceptable products which facilitate improved patient outcomes and represent best Value for Money. Applicants must demonstrate the ability to take responsibility, work on their own initiative and develop effective working relationships at all levels. Candidates must also have significant nursing experience in a senior leadership role and staff management. To be successful in this role you will have a resilient personality, with a track record of delivering creative and innovative solutions. A key priority will be the ability to manage a number of projects at any one time, prioritising as required.
Candidates should be customer focused and understand the importance of acquiring value for money. Applicants must be able to travel extensively to undertake the duties of the post at various sites.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post
